About Us

Empowering Communities.

Building Generational Change.

Project Humanity Australia Inc. is a registered Australian charity established in 2011 with a heart to serve vulnerable families and communities both locally and internationally.

For over a decade, we have delivered humanitarian initiatives including food distribution, education support, housing assistance, medical aid, and outreach programs.

Today, our focus is clear.

We are committed to sustainable, community-led empowerment.

We believe that while short-term aid meets immediate needs, long-term development transforms generations.

Our Approach

We partner directly with local leaders and communities to:

• Strengthen access to education
• Improve food security
• Support sustainable farming and livelihood projects
• Create pathways toward long-term independence

When families can generate income and provide for themselves, children remain in school.
When communities grow their own food and resources, stability becomes possible.

We invest in dignity.
We invest in sustainability.
We invest in the future.

Our Vision

A world where families and communities are empowered to provide for themselves — with dignity, stability, and opportunity for generations to come.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable families and communities through sustainable, community-led initiatives that strengthen education, food security, and long-term livelihoods. We move beyond short-term relief and invest in generational change.

Our Commitment

As an ACNC registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, transparency and accountability are central to everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that the majority of funds raised go directly toward community programs and sustainable impact initiatives.

Founder’s Story

Born in the outskirts of Viet Nam, Le arrived in Australia as a 13-year-old boat refugee in 1982.  Le grew up in Perth, completed her secondary education at St Thomas Aquinas, and then graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Health Information Management) in 1991. She is currently the Health Information Manager at Glengarry Private Hospital.

In 2008, while working at Mercy Hospital Mt. Lawley (now St. John of God), Le was nominated to attend the Catherine McCauley Award Programme – Developing Women in Leadership and Service – for Young Women under 40. After a year of listening and learning from inspiring and like-minded women from all around the world, this sparked the beginning of a new journey in her life.

As a child, Le Thu experienced living in an orphanage centre run by her parents, so she has always felt a sense of closeness to orphaned children.  It is because of her own childhood memories and former hardships of life, that the orphaned children are especially dear and precious to her.

Her mission is to help as many as she can, little by little. She continues to live by Mother Teresa’s words, “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one”.
