Education & Children
Every Child Deserves the Chance to Learn
At Project Humanity Australia, we believe that education is one of the most powerful ways to transform lives. Through our scholarships, classrooms and school support programs, we help children from disadvantaged communities access learning opportunities that can shape their future and open doors to new possibilities.
Many of the children we support face barriers such as poverty, limited access to schooling, or difficult family circumstances.
By providing educational support, we aim to give them the tools, confidence and opportunity to build a better future.
Empowering the younger generation
Scholarships
PHAI scholarships are awarded to academically capable students from struggling families and disadvantaged circumstances.
Since 2015, Project Humanity Australia has sponsored and awarded over 850 scholarships, helping children remain in school and continue their education.
Depending on each child’s circumstances, each scholarship ranges from $50 – $150 AUD, helping to cover school fees and essential learning costs.
Several students who received scholarships have since graduated and entered university, creating new opportunities for themselves and their families.
Education for children without access to public school
Compassion Classroom
Located in Long An, Vietnam, the Compassion Classroom supports children who are unable to attend public schools due to lacking birth certificates or official documentation.
Many of these children live with grandparents, extended family members or in difficult circumstances.
The Compassion Classroom provides:
• Basic reading and writing education
• Mathematics and foundational learning
• A safe and supportive learning environment
• Daily meals through the Compassion Kitchen
Overseen by Fr Dom Liem and volunteer retired teachers, the classroom currently supports over 38 children, with numbers continuing to grow.
Improving learning environments
School Support Projects
Project Humanity Australia also supports schools through infrastructure and development initiatives that improve learning spaces for students and teachers.
One example is the painting of the Gemumua Agahon National High School stage in Iloilo, Philippines, helping create a more welcoming, bright, and inspiring environment for students and community events. We focused on improving the Multi-Purpose Hall and school stage, used for the school's various educational and community activities.
These projects are developed in collaboration with local leaders and educators to ensure long-term benefits for the community.
